Tottenham Hotspur's opening day defeat is a thing of the past as Jose Mourinho's side have since gone unbeaten in all competitions.

Following a 5-2 thrashing of Southampton last weekend, the north Londoners welcome Newcastle United and they do so on the back of a midweek victory in the Europa League qualifiers.

Mourinho named an interesting starting XI in Macedonia, so who will he select this afternoon?

Here's what we are predicting...

There could be a debut and as many as eight changes for this one, starting in goal.

Skipper Hugo Lloris returns to the lineup, replacing Joe Hart as he's the first-choice at the club.

Whilst in front of him, Mourinho hands a debut to recent arrival Sergio Reguillon and left-back with Eric Dier and Matt Doherty returning, they replace Davinson Sanchez and Serge Aurier whilst Toby Alderweireld remains from Thursday night.

The midfield is an interesting headache for the Special One and due to his volume of matches lately, Tanguy Ndomebele settles for a place on the bench.

Instead, in come Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso to partner Harry Winks in the Spurs engine room. It means there is no place for Dele Alli in the starting XI. The £57.6m-rated midfielder struggled to make much of an impact in midweek.

Whilst in the attack, only Heung-min Son remains, although he moves back out to the left-flank with Lucas Moura taking up a spot on the other wing.

Harry Kane was rested in midweek but still came off the bench to score and he'll be the first name on the teamsheet here this afternoon.

There's unlikely to be a place on the bench for Gareth Bale just yet.
