So Tanguy Ndombele's difficult start to life in north London continues. The Frenchman has largely been on the periphery of things for Tottenham this season, with injuries and questions over his fitness really hampering his ability to settle down in English football. He has made just 26 appearances across all competitions, and hasn't completed the full 90 minutes in the Premier League since December. And against Burnley on Saturday, he was hooked at half-time, with Jose Mourinho publicly slamming him after the game, saying that the midfielder has to "realise this is the Premier League".

After hearing Mourinho's comments, Football.London's Tottenham correspondent, Alasdair Gold, gave his take on the situation.

It's certainly an age-old method of working for Mourinho.

Calling out players in public who disappoint him during matches or training is nothing new for the Portuguese man. You only have to look at his incessant criticism of Luke Shaw whilst he was manager of Manchester United to see that.

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino certainly seems like a more friendly, and protective man-manager than Mourinho. Only time will tell whether the latter's big call pays dividends when it comes to Ndombele.

Meanwhile, Tottenham swooping for Ryan Fraser could spell bad news for this player.
