A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have blasted Hugo Lloris for his role in Tuesday’s Champions League elimination to RB Leipzig.
Spurs entered the second leg of their last-16 tie trailing 1-0 and as a result, it was always going to be a tough ask in the return match.
Jose Mourinho’s side were well beaten in Germany, though, losing 3-0 on the night to suffer a 4-0 aggregate defeat.
Lloris hardly covered himself in glory for either of Leipzig’s first two goals through Marcel Sabitzer, and a number of the London club’s fans took to social media after the match to show their frustration.

Some even claimed that Tottenham should look to sell the France international during this summer’s transfer window.
The 2018 World Cup winner has been with the Premier League club since 2012 but his recent performances seem to have seriously angered the supporters; the second tweet below is actually fairly kind, but the message is still clear.
Time to sell

Yep he’s done. Been a great servant but that’s it. Need a new number 1 ASAP

One fan, meanwhile, called for Lloris’ retirement.
Not sure how he got the starting job back. Needs to retire.
