Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has told Football FanCast that Tottenham Hotspur are desperately trying to move Serge Aurier out of the club before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

The right-back has been heavily linked with a potential exit from the club, and reports earlier this summer claimed that he had struck an agreement with Spurs to be allowed to leave in this transfer window.

Aurier has most recently been linked with a move to Spanish club Real Betis although it remains to be seen if that is a deal that can get over the line before the end of the window.

Spurs are poised to sign Emerson from Barcelona, per Fabrizio Romano, and are set to announce his signing.

And Bridge has confirmed that the club are really keen to move the right-back on, as he has not been involved in the Premier League thus far this term, with Spurs beating both Manchester City and Wolves by a goal to nil.

Bridge insists that the club are doing everything they can to move him on, having previously managed to move Juan Foyth, Toby Alderweireld, Moussa Sissoko, Joe Hart, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela out of north London.

Bridge told FFC: “Aurier’s the one they want out. There’s a lot of people working on it, trying to get him out.

“Genuinely, all they can, so that’s the one they’re looking to get out.”
