Spurs: Fabio Paratici in Paulo Dybala talks

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a deal to bring Paulo Dybala to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer transfer window.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to a report by Italian publication Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), who claim that Fabio Paratici has made an early move in contacting the Juventus forward regarding a potential switch to Tottenham at the end of the current campaign.

A further report by Sky Sports has also revealed that, with the 28-year-old’s contract at the Allianz Stadium set to expire in June, the Argentina international is now set to become available on a free transfer this summer – as the Serie A side have failed in their attempts to tie the attacker down to a new deal in Turn.

Do you think Dybala is a realistic target for Spurs?

Conte would “love” Dybala

While Tottenham have continuously been linked with a move for Dybala over the past three seasons, following the arrivals of both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici in north London last year – both of whom have a previous relationship with the playmaker – this summer would very much appear to represent Spurs’ best chance of finally landing the 28-year-old.

And, it is not difficult to understand why Conte would “love” to add the Juventus forward to his attacking arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as the Argentine sensation has been in electric form for the Bianconeri this season.

Indeed, over his 21 Serie A appearances this term, the £36m-rated dynamo has been Massimiliano Allegri’s standout performer, bagging eight goals, providing five assists and creating ten big chances for his teammates, as well as taking an average of 3.6 shots and making 1.5 key passes per game.

These returns have seen the £220k-per-week man who Aaron Ramsey dubbed a “breathtaking” talent average a quite astonishing SofaScore match rating of 7.55, not only ranking him as Juve’s best player in the top flight of Italian football but also as the second-best in the division as a whole.

A truly wasted talent...

As such, with Conte already possessing two world-class attacking options in the form of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min – in addition to having added the increasingly impressive Dejan Kulusevski to his squad in the January transfer window – the further signing of a player as talented as Dybala would not only be one the 52-year-old manager would love, but the 28-year-old could also help to transform Tottenham into serious title contenders in the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

And, considering the forward looks as if he will be available on a free transfer this summer, Dybala’s arrival in north London would undoubtedly be a breathtaking signing for Paratici to get over the line.
