Tottenham Hotspur could make a couple of late moves in the summer transfer window, according to transfer insider Dean Jones...

What's the word?

There are just two days remaining for Premier League teams to complete their business with the deadline set for 11pm on Thursday evening and the journalist believes there may well be two more deals in the works.

He told GIVEMESPORT this week:

"A few options that Tottenham are starting to look at, at the moment. But we always knew that this would happen. Tottenham got their business done early and I was always told ‘look out for the last week, they’ll look to do two deals, Tottenham always do’. So let’s see who those guys end up being."

Paratici masterclass?

Indeed, the Lilywhites are notoriously late movers in the market as we have seen in recent windows and if sporting director Fabio Paratici were to seal two more signings, then it could be something of a masterclass, having already brought in seven fresh faces.

Late in January, both Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur arrived, with Dele Alli joining Everton permanently and both Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso departing on loan - as they have done this window, too.

Whilst last summer, it was Emerson Royal who arrived on deadline day, joining players like Hugo Lloris, Rafael van der Vaart, Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane to have joined on the final day of the window.

It remains to be seen exactly who Paratici and co are targeting, though a creative midfielder could sit high on the priority list and should Bryan Gil depart on loan once again, then a new attacker or winger could quickly rise up the shortlist.

A couple of names that have been linked throughout the final stages of the window include Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco, AS Roma maestro Nicolo Zaniolo and even Chelsea wide man Hakim Ziyech.

Any of those players would be quite the signing, so with a little over 48 hours to go, it's certainly going to be an exciting end to the summer window, going by Jones' fresh remarks.

Paratici could really cap off a successful summer spending spree with two more late deals, particularly if they are as successful as the aforementioned Kulusevski and Bentancur.

AND in other news, Paratici could undo Spurs' summer business in "shock" move for £30m "headless chicken"...
