Tottenham Hotspur will make Dejan Kulusevski's loan deal a permanent move by the end of the current campaign...

What's the word?

That's according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who provided an update on the matter to Twitter.

"Tottenham are set to make Dejan Kulusevski deal permanent at the end of the season, no doubts," he said.

"Two ways available:

"- If he plays 20 games [45 mins] in PL and Spurs will qualify to UCL = obligation to buy for €35m [£31m].

"- If not, Spurs will have a buy option clause."

Dream bargain

This will be something of a dream bargain for everyone concerned with the Lilywhites, ranging from manager Antonio Conte to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.

Under the Italian head coach, the Swedish winger has emerged as one of the most lethal attackers in the Premier League, having contributed six goals and 11 assists in his 29 appearances since arriving on an initial 18-month loan from Serie A giants Juventus back in January.

A direct contribution every 114 minutes when adapting to a new league is pretty remarkable, even more so when you consider that Heung-min Son has a similar feat, averaging one goal or assist every 109 minutes throughout his seven-year Spurs career.

The 22-year-old dynamo has also already received a chant in his honour, only further emphasising his impact, particularly as he's yet to pass the one-year milestone and technically, he's still a loanee.

"Gimme, gimme, gimme a ginger from Sweden

"He came from Juventus,

"And he plays on the wing.

"Gimme, gimme, gimme a ginger from Sweden,

"Number 21,

"His name is Kulusevski."

It also marks some impressive business from sporting director Fabio Paratici as if the deal didn't work out in the end, they would have been able to say no due to the buy option, but of course, Kulusevski has been a complete revelation in north London.

Meanwhile, journalist Nima Tavallaey Roodsar also appeared to be right in his assessment of the Sweden international upon his arrival in N17, having dubbed him an "absolute monster."

Ex-Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson has been a huge fan of Kulusevski too, labelling him a "real player" and a "real bargain" to Football Insider.

So, to sign him for a total of around £35m is certainly a great piece of business for a player that Spurs have seemingly hit the jackpot with. There will be few of a Spurs persuasion disappointed by this exciting update from Romano this week.
