Fabio Paratici has been handed a boost in Tottenham's bid to sign Richarlison this summer...

What's the talk?

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs have been given the green light for a move with Everton now willing to negotiate a deal with Spurs to sell the Brazilian ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

The report claims that they are open to cashing in on him but will not allow him to leave for less than £50m, with Real Madrid and PSG also said to be keen.

He'd be clinical for Spurs

The talented forward is a proven top-flight performer and would be an outstanding signing as he would be a reliable player in front of goal for Antonio Conte next season.

In 30 Premier League outings, Richarlison found the back of the net ten times and only missed six 'big chances' in total. Meanwhile, Heung-Min Son missed 17 'big chances' in 35 games and Harry Kane spurned 18 in 37 appearances for Tottenham.

The Everton attacker ended the 2021/22 campaign with an expected goals of 10.01 and scored ten times, which suggests that he will take opportunities if they come his way in a Spurs shirt.

Journalist Adam Goodwin once hailed him as "outstanding" and ex-Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti previously showered the attacker with praise, saying:

"Richarlison is a modern striker, a complete striker, because he works really hard. His physical statistics are really high, like a midfielder - but he has speed and he is really clinical in the box.

"He is fantastic with the head and clinical in front of the goalkeeper and his movement without the ball is really good.

"I think he can be one of the top strikers in Europe. I'm sure he can because he has all these kind of qualities and he doesn't have a specific position on the pitch. He is really complete."

The Brazil international also has eight league assists since the start of last season. This means that he has the potential to offer a threat both in terms of scoring goals for himself and setting up his teammates to score.

At the age of 25, he is also heading into the peak years of his career and this means that Spurs would be signing a player who is still developing and, hopefully, about to play to the best of his abilities in the next few years.

Given that he is already a proven scorer in the Premier League, Tottenham fans can get excited at the thought of Richarlison improving at the club and becoming a key player alongside the likes of Son, Kane and Dejan Kulusevski. He could just be another clinical piece of the puzzle that the manager needs to take this team to the next level.
