Spurs: Fabio Paratici considering Jonathan David swoop

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a deal to bring Jonathan David to the Premier League in the January transfer window.

What’s the talk?

Transfer Focus

That’s according to Dean Jones, with the transfer insider revealing in a recent article for GIVEMESPORT that Fabio Paratici is considering a move for the LOSC Lille centre-forward this winter, while fellow Premier League sides Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United are also said to be keen on the 22-year-old.

The journalist went on to state that, with David likely to star for Canada at the World Cup later this month, the striker could see his value rocket to £40m+ if he were to impress in Qatar, before Jones suggested that the attacker will be at a big club before long.

David can explode in Qatar

Considering just how impressive David has been since his €31.5m (£27.5m) move to Lille back in the summer of 2020, it is not difficult to see why Paratici would be interested in a move to bring the Canadian sensation to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this winter.

Indeed, over his 110 appearances for Les Dogues, the £52.5m-rated talent has been in sensational goalscoring form, hitting the back of the net on 41 separate occasions, as well as providing his teammates with a further eight assists – averaging a direct goal involvement every 163 minutes of football played at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.

The £28k-per-week forward has particularly impressed over his 14 Ligue 1 appearances in the current campaign, having already scored nine goals, registered three assists and created three big chances for his teammates, in addition to taking an average of 3.6 shots – 1.9 of which have hit the target – making 1.5 key passes and completing 0.9 dribbles per game.

These returns have seen the player who Alexandre Gangué-Ruzic claimed is “on fire” and has been dubbed a “goal machine” average a simply sensational SofaScore match rating of 7.24, not only ranking him as Paulo Fonseca’s joint second-best performer in the league but also as the joint 19th-best player in the French top flight as a whole.

At what age did Kane make his debut for Tottenham?

As such, with the 34-cap international heading into the World Cup in extremely impressive form, Les Rouges supporters will undoubtedly be hoping the centre-forward can carry over his hot streak into Canada’s fixtures against Belgium, Croatia and Morocco in Group F later this month.

Indeed, it would appear as if the 22-year-old is primed to explode on the world stage in Qatar this winter, leading us to believe that Paratici must do all he can to win the race for the Canadian talisman when the January transfer window rolls around.
