Jose Mourinho has spent the summer turning Manchester United into the Premier League's most relentless side. All of his signings thus far have measured in at over 6 foot and the sheer physical power of the Red Devils has been evident throughout their first three Premier League fixtures, scoring seven of their ten top flight goals in the final 20 minutes of matches.

The United jigsaw isn't complete just yet, however, with the spot on the left wing the real point of contention. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have split the role between them this season, but that suggests Mourinho isn't completely convinced by either youngster at this moment in time.

In the context of the criteria used thus far this summer, Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic would be the ideal signing for the Old Trafford gaffer. In addition to hugely impressing last season with eleven goals and nine assists, the hardworking Croatian international measures in at 6 foot 1 - further adding to United's immense height and power.

The Independent don't believe a deal will go ahead before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday evening with Inter said to be preparing a new contract offer. But if there's still a chance of signing Perisic before tomorrow night, United would be wise to take it - he'd cap off a perfect summer for Mourinho and would further establish the Red Devils as the most physically-imposing side in the league.
