According to Don Balon, Real Madrid defender Danilo has an offer from a Premier League club, after being linked with Arsenal by the same publication last weekend.

What's the word?

Recent reports have suggested that Barcelona would be keen to bring Arsenal star Hector Bellerin to the Nou Camp, seeing him as the long term answer to their right-back issues. Should this transpire, Danilo represents a potential replacement.

According to transfermarkt.com, the Brazil international's market value is around £14million, although it is likely that Real Madrid would be seeking significantly more if they sold this summer.

How good has Danilo been this season?

Since joining Real Madrid from Porto, Danilo has struggled to hold down a first team place at the Bernabeu. With Dani Carvajal the clear number one choice at right-back, the 25-year-old has been resigned to the bench for much of Real's very successful domestic and European campaigns.

However, the South American has still managed to earn 24 appearances in all competitions for Madrid. He has impressed with his composure and staggering passing ability for a defender.

Danilo's future will very much depend on whether Real Madrid offer Dani Carvajal the lucrative contract extension that he so desires.

Would Danilo be a good fit at Arsenal?

Apart from Hector Bellerin, it has been a considerable number of years since Arsenal have enjoyed full-backs that can have an impact offensively and defensively in equal measures.

While the club may be forced to sell Bellerin, buying Danilo as a replacement would be a wise move. The Brazilian is quick, athletic and a great distributor of the ball, as well as having a very intelligent defensive mind.
