Chelsea have seen a bid for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon rejected by Scottish champions Celtic, Sky Sports report.

What's the word?

Chelsea have made a move that suggests that Asmir Begovic will be on his way out before Tuesday's transfer deadline, with the Premier League leaders lodging a bid for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon. However, the Scottish giants have turned it down.

34-year-old Gordon has remained a crucial part of Brendan Rodgers' side this season and, despite the fact that the Scottish goalkeeper has just six months remaining on his deal, Celtic are reluctant to part ways with their number one.

Whether Chelsea will move again remains to be see, as they reportedly have other targets, but it sets things up for a busy finish to the window in West London.

Who's going where?

Asmir Begovic is keen to leave Stamford Bridge before the deadline next week as the Bosnian international seeks further playing opportunities- and Bournemouth are the favourites to land the 29-year-old in a deal worth around £12m.

However, Chelsea will only sanction a deal if they secure a replacement, hence the move for Gordon, but the rejection leaves Antonio Conte sides at a crossroads as they must decide whether to launch a second approach or look elsewhere.

Sky Sports state Espanyol loanee Diego Lopez is an alternative target for Chelsea, as well as Galatasaray's Uruguayan Fernando Muslera, but Lopez has said he has no intention to leave his Catalan employers.
