Dortmund star set to snub Premier League in favour of Spanish giants

In-demand Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus has reportedly snubbed the Premier League in favour of a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid next summer, according to the Sunday Express.

Reports in Spain suggest that the 25 year-old has agreed to join the Champions League holders once they meet his £20 million release clause, and will sign a five-year-deal.

The news will come as a disappointment to the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, all of whom have been long-term admirers of the midfield maestro.

The Germany international has been a rare shining light in what has otherwise been an atrocious season for the struggling Dortmund, whose recent loss to Werder Bremen was their tenth of the campaign which has left them languishing in the Bundesliga relegation zone.

With Jurgen Klopp’s side seemingly in freefall, Reus may feel that his time at the club is at an end. It now looks likely that the Bernabeu will be his next destination.
