Everton are interested in signing young Le Havre goalkeeper Yorgan Agblemagnon, but they face competition from Bournemouth, according to The Sun

What's the story?

The 17-year-old seems to have caught the eye of a handful of clubs while playing for the Under-19s side at Ligue 2 side Le Havre.

Not only have foreign clubs been impressed, the Togo national side recently called him into the senior squad for games against Egypt and Libya.

The Sun claims that Premier League pair Everton and Bournemouth are tracking the teenager, while Championship side Blackburn Rovers have also been registered with an interest.

Elsewhere, Portuguese outfit Porto have also got scouts keeping an eye on Agblemagnon.

Fast track to the first team?

Despite being called up to his senior national squad, it is highly unlikely that Agblemagnon would find himself in the first team if he moves to Everton.

The Merseyside outfit have been linked to numerous goalkeepers in the last few months as manager Ronald Koeman is yet to settle on a first-choice stopper.

At the moment, Joel Robles occupies the number one spot, but Maarten Stekelenburg started the season in the role after arriving from Fulham last summer.

If Agblemagnon opts to move to Goodison Park, he will be regarded as one for the future and will continue his development in the club's academy.

One can only assume that Everton's rumoured pursuit of the teenager will not impact any search for a first-team stopper.
