Four-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo sparked the biggest transfer saga of the summer last week when reports emerged that the Euro 2016 winner had decided he wanted to leave Real Madrid, and Spain all together, having been accused of tax fraud.

As soon as the reports emerged, there was an instant connection being made with former club Manchester United, where the Portuguese international scored 118 goals in 291 appearances, winning seven major titles and the first of his Ballon d'Or's.

Fans were, of course, interested in seeing their hero back at Old Trafford after eight years in the Spanish capital, however, with reports claiming that he will command a fee of £131m there are plenty of doubts over whether the Red Devils would fork out or not.

As if the saga didn't need it already, Sky Sports have now thrown in another twist, claiming that the Galactico is interested in a move back to the Theatre of Dreams.

Although it would be a hugely popular move for fans in Manchester, they aren't too sure about the credibility of the claims...
