As reported by The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur could be ready to say goodbye to faltering striker Vincent Janssen, just a year after he arrived at the club.

What's the story?

With Mauricio Pochettino trying to build a squad capable of winning the English Premier League title, he needs to show a ruthlessness towards the players already at the club who are not capable of performing consistently for him.

One player that is deemed surplus to requirements is Vincent Janssen. The Mirror say that Tottenham are happy to sell him to Borussia Monchengladbach this summer and the German club are ready to pay the money it'd take to bring the striker to Germany.

Should Spurs cash in on the striker?

Should Spurs sell?

There's no doubting that Vincent Janssen is a quality player who has a lot to offer an ambitious team. However, with Harry Kane ahead of him at Spurs there is just little scope for him to get the first team football he needs at this stage of his career.

The striker is still just 23 years old and his potential is still massive despite his tally of just two English Premier League goals last season.

Perhaps a loan deal may be the best option for all parties next season although if Mauricio Pochettino needs extra resources to land the players he wants at the club then selling him is the worst outcome in the world either.
