As reported by The Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp is ruling out the sale of Liverpool Divock Origi this summer, apparently still believing he has something to offer the club despite poor form this season.

What's the story?

It's never easy to make the breakthrough in the Premier League as a young player, especially at the club like Liverpool where there's significant pressure to provide consistency and wins every single week.

Divock Origi knows all about that, having struggled to fight his way into a regular starting XI spot so far this season.

However, his faltering form will not have an impact on his leaving the club soon with The Liverpool Echo reporting that Klopp is set to back the 21 year old and not cash in on him this summer. The German reckons he's still to play a big role in Liverpool's future.

Can he make the grade?

Origi has made 33 appearances for Liverpool this season, although a massive 20 of them have been from the bench, highlighting the fact that Klopp doesn't quite trust him enough to lead the attacking line from the start of matches.

Significant game time does mean Klopp sees ability in him though and having invested time and money into his career so far, it would be silly for the Reds to cut their losses with the young striker just as he could start to flourish and mature into a fine player.

The 21 year old is still learning his trade and besides, with 8 goals this season could still reach double figures, not a bad a return for a player who features predominately off the bench.

Keeping the faith in him could pay off big down the line. It would a be a crying shame for Liverpool fans to see him finally reach his potential elsewhere having seen him get an education at Anfield.
