As reported by The Daily Mail, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is eyeing up a move to Serie A this summer when his loan deal ends at Bournemouth.

What's the news?

Wilshere has spent the season on the South coast trying to prove himself as a Premier League midfielder after a series of fitness issues but it seems as if he's given up on that goal, eager to fashion a move to Italian giants AC Milan.

That's according to The Mail, who say a recommendation from David Beckham has given him the inspiration to do what few English players do and move abroad.

There are other options for him too with Watford, Crystal Palace, Roma and Benfica all interested in the £90,000-per-week star, according to the report.

Is it time for him to say goodbye to English shores?

Is his time at Arsenal up?

Wilshere has had a decent, if inconsistent, season season at the Cherries, at times looking like the player of old that burst onto the scene as a youngster with huge potential and at others looking ineffectual and unable to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

His technical, less physical midfield style could very well be suited to football on the content, away from the high pace, high pressure game in England. A move to Serie A or even somewhere like Benfica could end up being the making of him as a star performer.

What he has shown this season is he can stay fit for long spells of the campaign, a definite question mark on his time at the Emirates.

If Wenger stays on we can't see him relying on the Englishman much in his midfield, having moved on to other projects so the reported move away could end up being the best thing for all parties.
