As reported by The Daily Record, Pedro Caixinha is set to add more talent to next season's Rangers squad with the acquisition of two stars from Portugal.

What's the story?

After Ryan Jack and Bruno Alves signed up last week and Mexican Carlos Pena have made the trip to Scotland to take a medical, Caixinha is busy with even more early summer signings this week.

The Daily Record say Portuguese duo Dalcio and Fabio Cardoso are due in Glasgow today to complete medicals after deals were agreed with their respective clubs to move to Ibrox.

The paper reckons the Light Blues have shelled out £1.3m for centre-back Cardoso, with a view to partnering him for the season with the legendary Bruno Alves.

Dalcio meanwhile will join on a season-long loan from Benfica in order to bolster Caixinha's options in attack, says the report.

Caixinha means business

It's clear that by getting all his transfers completed early in the transfer window that he has big plans in pre-season to really stamp his authority on this Rangers team. Struggling to win over some of the established talent at the club on his arrival, he's set about bringing in names he knows and trusts in order to enact the change needed to make the Light Blues a force again.

It won't be easy to get close to Celtic but they are certainly moving in the right direction and making bold moves in the transfer market and that enough is providing hope for supporters.
