According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring the development of Ajax duo Donny van de Beek and Justin Kluivert.

What's the story?

Tottenham signed Davinson Sanchez from Ajax in the summer, and it would be fair to say that the Colombian centre-back has impressed during the early stages of his career with the Premier League outfit.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs want to raid Ajax once again, this time for highly-rated pair Van de Beek and Kluivert, who are widely regarded as two of the best prospects in Dutch football.

Steve Hitchens is currently in charge of scouting at Tottenham, and it is understood that his team have been present at a number of Ajax fixtures this season with the view to watching the development of the two players in question.

Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen have also previously joined Tottenham from Ajax, and it is thought that the English club's close relationship with the Dutch giants stands them in good stead when it comes to the future of Van de Beek and Kluivert, who are both expected to eventually move on.

What do we know about them?

Van de Beek is just 20 years old, but has already made more than 30 league appearances for Ajax.

The three-time Netherlands Under-21 international came through the youth system with the Dutch club before progressing to the first team, and has gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months.

Kluivert, meanwhile, is the son of former Barcelona forward Patrick Kluivert, and the 18-year-old is believed to be on the radar of a number of European clubs.

The teenager scored twice in 20 first-team appearances for Ajax last season - including six in the Europa League en route to the final.

This term, Kluivert has already made 11 appearances in all competitions, and has one assist in seven league appearances for his Dutch club.
