Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool lead the chase for Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon but will have to pay £15m for his services, Squawka reports.

What's the word?

16-year-old Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon is one of the most highly-rated players outside of the Premier League but Fulham may struggle to keep hold of his services, as the likes of Liverpool, both Manchester clubs, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur eye his signature.

Of those interested clubs, Liverpool are leading the chase after making an enquiry to the Cottagers in January but Fulham's demand of £15m, for a player who still hasn't turned 17, may scupper the chances of a deal being completed.

He will not sign a professional deal until he turns 17 in May and has been protected this season, being eased into the team in West London but making a huge impression, scoring twice from left-back in his eight Championship appearances.

Is Liverpool the right move?

Of the interested parties chasing Sessegnon's services, Liverpool could be deemed as the ideal destination for the youngster as the Reds lack options at left-back, with James Milner playing out of position to fill the role this season whilst the unimpressive Alberto Moreno has remained as a substitute.

Manchester City could also be a decent option, as Pep Guardiola searches for a new long-term full-back, but moving to the North East of England would be a big move for a player of his age and would be under a lot of pressure.

Therefore, staying in London would perhaps be beneficial and, across London, Arsenal need a left-back to succeed Nacho Monreal, with Kieran Gibbs not quite doing enough to warrant regular first-team opportunities.
