Man United shot-stopper determined to seal Real Madrid move

The Mail on Sunday are reporting that Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has told his team-mates he wants to push ahead with a move to Real Madrid, with his heart set on leaving Old Trafford this summer.

The shot-stopper’s future at United is in doubt as Los Blancos continue to express their interest in the Spaniard.

De Gea has informed members of the United squad that he wishes to return to Madrid ahead of the new season.

Real are understood to be preparing an opening offer of around £13 million for the 24-year-old.

While that is unlikely to be enough to convince United to part ways with De Gea, Real are confident they will land the player, knowing full well he is determined to return back to the Spanish capital.

De Gea spent eight years at Real’s city rival Atletico Madrid prior to joining United in 2011.

The Red Devils shot-stopper has been at Old Trafford for four seasons, making a total of 175 appearances in all competitions.
