Manuel Neuer has rubbished claims he's set to move to the Premier League by telling reporters there has been no contact with Manchester City, as quoted by ESPN.

What's the word?

With Manchester City seeking a new goalkeeper this summer following disappointing performances from Claudio Bravo, the Citizens were always likely to be linked to Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer- especially given Pep Guardiola's history with the German international.

Guardiola managed Neuer for three-years during his time at the Allianz Arena, winning three Bundesliga titles and two DFB Polkal's, but the German World Cup winner has dismissed speculation he could reunite with his former boss at the Eithad Stadium.

Admitting he's flattered by the reported interest, Neuer made it clear he's happy in Bavaria and also pointed out that he's only recently extended his contract.

What was said?

Speaking ahead of Bayern's Champions League clash with Arsenal tonight, Neuer said:

"As everyone knows, I'm happy here at Bayern and therefore extended my contract. I've had no contact."

"Regarding the speculation, obviously it's an honour to be spoken about. However, I can only say that Pep still has my telephone number and I haven't received a call."
