Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are going head-to-head in the race to sign talented Feyenoord youngster Ozancan Kokcu, according to The Times.

What's the word?

The 18-year-old attacker is highly-rated on the continent and his current employers, Feyenoord, are resigned to losing him at the end of the season when his contract expires- with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton both looking to swoop.

Kokcu, who recently turned down a call-up for Azerbaijan's senior squad, will only cost interested clubs a small compensation fee and his agent, Muzzi Ozcan, is said to have spoken to several clubs about a potential deal.

Everton and Tottenham are planning further talks before moving for the versatile player this summer as they look to secure an exciting up-and-coming talent who would flourish under the guidance of Ronald Koeman or Antonio Conte.

Who is Kokcu?

Yet to represent Feyenoord at senior level, the 18-year-old has instead made an impact amongst the Dutch side's youth ranks and has excelled with the U19 side; netting two goals in 14 appearances so far.

Capable of playing on both wings or behind the striker in a number ten role, Kokcu is a versatile asset that can be crafted into a top-class player in the coming years- but choosing the right club will be vital to his development.

Having turned down Azerbaijan's call-up, instead staying loyal to the Holland side he's represented at U17 level, Kokcu is waiting for his chance to impress and he could be handed that move with a transfer to the Premier League.
