Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has agreed personal terms with German giants Bayern Munich ahead of a summer move away from The Emirates according to Italian journalist Matteo Pedrosi.

What's the word?

The Calciomercato hack claims that the Bundesliga champions, having agreed a deal with the player, will now move to progress talks with the powers that be within The Emirates as they look to bring Sanchez to The Allianz Arena.

Sanchez has been the subject of much speculation ever since Arsenal's season took a turn for the worse, with just over a year remaining on his current deal at the club and no sign of an extension as of yet.

The Chilean international became the first Gooner to bag 20 or more goals in a Premier League season since Robin van Persie with his strike against Southampton last week before grabbing a goal and an assist in the win at Stoke over the weekend to keep the pressure up on the top four.

How big of a loss?

It is a highly unpopular opinion, however, it is perfectly reasonable to state that if the reports are correct and Sanchez is off to Munich, he may not be too big of a miss at Arsenal next season.

Of course, the former Barcelona man has been the star of the show this season and is a remarkable talent, although, at times his tantrums and attitude can seem to have a negative effect on the side.

After the Gunners switch to a three-at-the-back system, freedom was afforded to those playing in the central midfield roles and Sanchez no longer became the main man. In fact, before his goal against Southampton the Chilean had contributed very little.

There has been plenty of talk about a summer overhaul in north London before the start of next season, and Sanchez could well be one of those who is replaced.
