Odion Ighalo is set to complete his exit from Watford to become the latest Premier League player to move to China, The Watford Observer reports.

What's the word?

Odion Ighalo will leave Watford imminently to join Chinese outfit Chongchun Yata after first-team opportunities at Vicarage Road look set to become extremely limited following the January arrivals of M'Baye Niang.

Nigerian striker Ighalo, excelled in Watford's promotion season back in 2014/15, scoring 20 goals, before netting 15 in the following campaign in the Premier League. However, this season he's scored just one goal in 17 appearances.

Surplus to requirements in the eyes of Walter Mazzarri, Ighalo is free to leave and a number of sides have lodged bids for the African striker- who was left out of the Hornets side at the weekend who lost 1-0 to Millwall in the FA Cup.

Could he move elsewhere?

Odion Ighalo could still stay in Europe, perhaps still in the Premier League, as a number of sides have expressed interest- with West Brom said to be keen on signing him on-loan, The Daily Mail reports. However, time is running out to complete a deal.

With a move to China, there would be no need to rush as the window for the Far East nation closes on the 28th February- giving clubs another month to complete their final signings before the new season begins in March.

Ighalo is mulling over a move to China and could consider a Deadline Day move to the Hawthorns, where Tony Pulis' side are looking to bolster their attacking ranks following the sale of Saido Berahino to Stoke City.
