West Brom sunk into the relegation zone as their poor start to life in the Premier League continued at the hands of old foes, Fulham.

Slaven Bilic's men were played off the park at Craven Cottage, losing 2-0, with both strikes coming within four minutes of each other by the half-hour mark.

Bobby Decordova-Reid headed the home outfit in front before Ola Aina fired home a scorcher from the edge of the penalty box.

The Baggies are now third-bottom going into a tough run of fixtures against second-placed Spurs, Manchester United and Sheffield United. No top-flight team has conceded more goals (16) than Albion.

Fingers can be pointed in all sorts of directions - not enough duels were won in midfield as skipper Jake Livermore was hauled off before the hour mark whilst the backline failed to keep a clean sheet once more.

Although, it was Scott Parker's side who nullified West Brom's main threat, Matheus Pereira.

The Brazilian attacking midfielder was uncharacteristically anonymous throughout the 56 minutes he was on the pitch as the Cottagers did a proper job on him.

Pereira lost possession 17 times, won just three of nine duels (33%), was dribbled past twice and failed to provide an accurate cross, a key pass or a shot on target, via SofaScore.

It speaks volumes that the £11.7m-rated maestro only made eight passes from 15 attempts (53%). BirminghamLive graded Pereira an abysmal 4/10 and claimed: "[it] was a really disappointing performance from Pereira who just wasn’t in the game. Subbed, which didn’t amuse him and he disappeared down the tunnel."

His opposite number, Antonee Robinson, picked up the second-highest rating of any player (7.6) having won four ground duels, three tackles and two clearances.

He's a player that Bilic missed out on in the summer, to make things even worse.

The Fulham left-back along with Ademola Lookman absolutely bullied Pereira on the night, though the persistence to play the £30k-per-week playmaker on the wing instead of through the middle continues to baffle immensely.
