Callum Robinson: West Brom could be dealt huge blow for Burnley clash

West Bromwich Albion’s woes could well continue when they face Burnley in the Premier League on Monday night, a daunting prospect which could soon see them sit rock-bottom.

Baggies boss Slaven Bilic faces a number of issues as the international break draws to a close and it could be made so much worse with uncertainty surrounding Callum Robinson.

The Republic of Ireland striker is self-isolating for 14 days after coming into contact with someone with the virus whilst on international duty.

Robinson along with Sheffield United’s John Egan, Preston North End’s Alan Browne and Bristol City’s Callum O’Dowda have all since withdrawn from the ROI squad.

Can West Brom beat Burnley without Robinson, Kanu or Austin?

There's no chance!

It means his place in Bilic’s squad for Monday is in serious jeopardy, even if he continues to test negative himself.

The Croatian could already be without Hal Robson-Kanu after suffering a broken arm in their defeat at Southampton whilst outcast duo Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore could be moved on to the Championship before Friday’s domestic transfer deadline.

Robinson, who is valued at £7.2m, has been playing as Albion’s sole striker in all four of their Premier League outings this season, so to lose him alongside the back-ups could prove to be a devastating blow.

Even if the Midlands outfit manages to bring in Karlan Grant late this week, he’s very unlikely to feature given the fact that he’s not had a pre-season or even featured for Huddersfield Town this campaign.

Can you name this obscure former West Brom player?

West Brom’s worst-case scenario option of calling up a promising youth player is also out of the question as both Jamie Soule and Rayhaan Tulloch have gone out on loan.

You’d imagine one of Matheus Pereira, Grady Diangana or Kyle Edwards will have to fill in and that should be a scary prospect for many at the Hawthorns.
