West Bromwich Albion will be desperate to get another win under their belt today, with Steve Bruce seeing his promotion dreams drift further away with each game week.

His side have just one win in their opening ten Championship fixtures, however, hosting a Swansea City side that sits just two points above them poses a fine opportunity to grab another.

It is clear where the issues lie with the Baggies, as they have scored just 15 times in the league, with five of those coming in one game.

Karlan Grant is not his usual prolific self, and Daryl Dike is still recovering from an injury sustained in the preseason. The former has just three goals in the league this year.

Bruce must therefore look to unleash Brandon Thomas-Asante, who had enjoyed a fine start to the season both for Salford City and his new club.

It could be a tactical masterclass to force the 23-year-old onto Kyle Naughton, who has been operating as a centre-back for the Swans as part of a back three. He stands at just 5 foot 9, so with the raw physicality of the English striker, it should be a thrilling matchup.

Before joining the Hawthorns, Thomas-Asante had four goals and two assists in his opening six League Two fixtures, and he quickly translated that into Championship goals, as he has two in three games.

Lewis Cox heralded him as an “instant Hawthorns goal hero”, lauding his “unbelievable story” to ascend through the divisions.

It has been one hell of a rise through the ranks for him, and now his goals have surely earned him a starting place up front for Bruce’s side.

He is arguably the most in-form player he has at his disposal at the moment, and to earn any precious wins he must focus his efforts on these individuals.

Coming off the back of their impressive draw at Norwich City, fans will be hoping they can build upon it with a win at last.

Blessed with speed, strength, and a keen eye for goal, Thomas-Asante could definitely give Naughton a headache and fire West Brom to victory.
