West Brom will probably demand £30m for Matheus Pereira this summer, says Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield.

The Brazilian attacker is an in-demand player following the Baggies' relegation to the Championship, with the Daily Express reporting at the end of last season that multiple clubs are interested in his signature.

While it was a disappointing campaign for West Brom, who finished 19th in the Premier League, Pereira still managed to impress.

The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and provided six assists, proving to be a bright spark in the Baggies' attack.

As a result, West Brom value Pereira incredibly highly and are likely to demand a £30m fee for the player this summer, according to Hatfield.

"Albion value him incredibly highly and they're right to do that," the West Brom journalist told FFC. "I mean, he's contracted to the club and it's not running down quickly.

"I think Albion will look at it and say, 'Look, this is his performances in the Premier League. He scored goals, laid on assists and he's got Premier League experience.'

"Ollie Watkins had never played in the Premier League before and he signed for £30m. Albion will probably value him at around that area, around the £30m mark, and it wouldn't surprise me if they did that."

Given his performances in the Premier League last season, it is hard to see Pereira dropping back down to the Championship.

That being said, a £30m price tag in this current climate could potentially be a stumbling block.
