Joseph Masi has provided an update on Matheus Pereira's transfer situation, on his Twitter account. The 23-year-old has been a brilliant addition for the Baggies during his time on loan from Sporting Lisbon: he has made 29 Championship starts and four substitute appearances, scoring six goals and adding a further 12 assists. He has also made an impact in general play, averaging 2.5 key passes and 1.5 dribbles. With this in mind, the EFL confirming that the Championship will be suspended, meaning the season will end later, seemingly had plenty of fans worrying about whether West Brom will be able to keep hold of the Brazilian.

Masi has put their minds at rest though, explaining that West Brom have always had the right to buy him for £8.25m at any time, which hasn't changed, so his loan becoming a permanent will not be impacted by the break in play.
