West Brom are now unbeaten in their last four Championship games after rescuing a point in yesterday's 2-2 draw against Bristol City away from home thanks to a last-gasp goal from Adam Reach.

Despite the fightback that the Baggies showed to grab a point, it seems as though some worrying news has emerged that no one at the Midlands club will have been wanting to hear.

What's the news?

According to a recent Twitter post from journalist Joe Masi, it's "bad news" regarding the fitness of striker Daryl Dike, who has been out of action for the past few weeks thanks to a hamstring injury he picked up shortly after arriving at the Hawthorns during the previous January transfer window.

Masi revealed that Steve Bruce said the striker felt "uncomfortable" in Friday's training session ahead of their recent league clash, which is why he was not in the squad and will not feature for the U23s on Monday, as was meant to be the plan in terms of his recovery.

Big blow for Bruce

Even though the Baggies have now scored seven goals in their past four league games, this will still be a big blow for Bruce, the team, the fans and for the player given how unfortunate he's been by picking up an injury so soon into his tenure at the club.

After all, prior to joining West Brom, the American attacker racked up 28 goals and four assists in 63 combined appearances for Barnsley and Orlando City, showing just what he'd be able to offer the Baggies if they're able to get him on the pitch and give him regular minutes.

Albion have struggled quite significantly this term and the addition of a natural-born goalscorer would only have a positive impact on the team before now and the climax of the campaign.

Therefore, everyone at the club will undoubtedly be hoping that the 21-year-old can overcome this latest setback and make a full recovery as soon as possible so he can finally get back out on the pitch and help his new club end their campaign as strongly as possible.

In terms of the other attacking options at Bruce's disposal, while Dike is unavailable, he will have to make sure that the likes of Karlan Grant, who has now scored four in his last four games as well as providing one assist, can keep delivering on the pitch alongside Callum Robinson and Andy Carroll.
