West Bromwich Albion will be desperate to get a win tonight, and Steve Bruce will be starting to feel the pressure as his side continue to march on without a win.
Their form could not be more contrasting, but with a game having been played over the weekend both sides will likely have to shuffle the pack slightly.
With that in mind, here’s the West Brom XI Football FanCast are predicting for tonight’s clash with Preston North End…
Despite his awful performances in recent weeks, the summer departure of Sam Johnstone means that David Button will likely have to continue in goal. He has conceded seven times in his last three games for the Baggies, being left rather hapless between the sticks.
An unchanged back line is to be expected, as Semi Ajayi and Kyle Bartley will remain out for the foreseeable future.
That means Dara O’Shea will continue alongside Conor Townsend, who is deputising in their absence.
We expect Jake Livermore to drop to the bench following an intense game on Saturday, with Okay Yokuslu coming into partner Tom Rogic, who made his full debut last week.
They will underpin a front four that still seems unsettled, however, perhaps continuing with Grady Diangana will eventually bear fruit given his clear quality. He did manage to score on Saturday and thus, must be given an opportunity to continue that form.
Now seems like the right time to bring back Karlan Grant, who will hopefully have some added incentive to improve his performances.
He’ll have to be tonight if the Baggies are to get anything from this game.
