BBC pundit Chris Sutton has claimed that West Ham United will end up looking to hire a manager just like David Moyes if he is sacked.

What's the word?

It feels as though the 59-year-old's time with the Hammers may soon come to an end as the club continue to struggle for form in the Premier League fixture.

Indeed, they fell into the relegation zone this weekend after losing 1-0 away at Wolves meaning West Ham have yet to win in the league since the winter World Cup came to an end.

Understandably, there are doubts about how longer Moyes will be in charge of the club but while discussing who could possibly take over, Sutton has suggested that Moyes really is the best man for the job.

Talking on the BBC Radio Show 606, he explained: “Look, so if you were looking for a particular manager in this situation, okay, you'd be looking for someone like David Moyes, who has done a brilliant job.”

Moyes out?

Moyes certainly seems as though he is keen to stay. After all, following the loss to Wolves, he told the press (via Evening Standard): "I think what we’ve given West Ham supporters in the last few years, I hope they’ll give us back when we’re in a difficult period.

“They give us back everything the players and the staff have given the club in the last couple of years, I am sure that will help us because you always want the backing of your home support. We’ve always had it, so let’s hope that continues.”

On top of that, the latest reporting suggests that the board have not made any moves, or held any meetings, to get rid of the club manager just yet.

And so that suggests that the club are keen to give him every chance to turn it around. If he does go, however, it will be interesting to see who is linked with the job.

Out-of-work manager Sean Dyche has been one name touted recently. The former Burnley man would certainly arrive with plenty of Premier League experience having taken charge of 258 games in the English top flight.

However, seeing as Moyes led the Irons to a Europa League semi-final last term, it's easy to see why there are those in the media who still feel as though he is the best man for the job, even despite these current struggles.
