West Ham United have been handed a quadruple boost ahead of their upcoming Europa League quarter-final second leg meeting with Olympique Lyonnais.

What's the latest?

That's according to a report by French publication RMC Sport (via Sport Witness), who revealed that all three of Anthony Lopes, Houssem Aouar and Tanguy Ndombele are now doubts for Thursday's clash with West Ham, as each of the trio picked up knocks in Lyon's 1-1 draw with Strasbourg on Sunday.

The report goes on to state that all three players did not train on Monday, instead spending the day in the Ligue 1 side's treatment room, before RMC also claimed that Thiago Mendes is yet to train following the injury he picked up in the first leg of the Europa League clash.

According to the publication, an OL source said regarding the stricken trio: "There are far too many uncertainties to know if [Lopes, Aouar and Ndombele] can hold their place [in the Lyon starting XI]."

Huge boost for West Ham

Considering how important all four of Lopes, Aouar, Ndombele and Mendes are within Peter Bosz's side, the suggestion that the quartet could be ruled out of Thursday's clash is undoubtedly news David Moyes will love.

Indeed, following Ndombele's January switch from Tottenham Hotspur back to the Groupama Stadium, the central midfielder has highly impressed over his seven Ligue 1 appearances, providing two assists, creating two big chances and averaging a SofaScore match rating of 7.04 - not to mention scoring Lyon's all-important equaliser at the London Stadium last week, as well as averaging a SofaScore match rating of 7.60 over his three Europa League outings for the French side.

Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Mendes, goalkeeper Lopes and forward-thinking midfielder Aouar have also been crucial in Lyon's run to the later stages of the Europa League, averaging SofaScore match ratings of 7.30, 6.98 and 6.94 respectively.

As such, it is clear for all to see that, should the quartet indeed be ruled out of the meeting with West Ham this week, it would provide the Premier League side's chances of progressing to the semi-finals of the competition with a huge boost - something that every West Ham fan will be dreaming about until Thursday comes around.
