West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen is attracting interest in the summer transfer.

What’s the word?

That’s according to Pete O’Rourke, who revealed the following in a recent interview with GIVEMESPORT: "With Bowen, West Ham’s stance remains that they really don’t want to sell.

"There are a lot of clubs circling over Bowen, but the challenge, much like Declan Rice, is persuading West Ham to sell during this window and West Ham remain pretty intent not to let him go.

"So, there’s lots of excitement about Bowen moving potentially to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment because West Ham don’t want to sell. But Arsenal have definitely made an enquiry around Bowen to see what the situation is, but that’s what they’ve been told.”

Supporters will be gutted

Last season was something of a standout year for Bowen, who scored a bagful on his way to earning his first England cap.

He was integral in West Ham’s hugely successful campaign that saw them finish seventh and reach the Europa League semi-final, and the news that other clubs are interested will not be surprising.

Playing predominantly off the right wing, he scored 12 and assisted a further 12, meaning he contributed to 24 goals in just 35 league games. To put up these numbers, as a winger, for a side outside the top-four is extremely impressive and was bound to draw attention.

Whilst it will please Irons supporters to learn that West Ham are unwilling to sell, this marks the first of what will likely be plenty of interest in the winger over the coming years. With Declan Rice often touted with a move away from the club, David Moyes will know this feeling all too well.

Bowen also averaged a SofaScore rating of 7.09, which was only bested by Rice amongst his teammates. The two young English superstars are the future of their club and David Moyes will be desperate to keep hold of them.

The Scottish manager has made his stance on Bowen clear on several occasions, hailing his "incredible progress" as a player.

To ensure their renewed interest in staying at the club will require huge financial investment, and this is indicated in their willingness to dip into the market this summer.

Arsenal appear to be one of the first serious suitors for Bowen, but supporters will know this is only the beginning - something that is sure to leave them gutted.
