West Ham have been linked with a move for Juventus striker Moise Kean recently and the Italian forward could be an excellent addition to David Moyes' squad at the London Stadium.

What's the word?

According to Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport (June 5th, pg 14), West Ham are interested in signing the 22-year-old, who is keen on leaving Everton on a permanent deal after a difficult spell at Goodison Park.

The youngster spent last season on loan at his old side Juventus and has made just 39 appearances during his time with the Toffees, in which he contributed a measly four goals and two assists.

However, he has shown his quality in loan spells with PSG and Juventus, hitting 23 goals over the last two seasons away from Merseyside, so if utilised correctly, he could be a danger man for the Hammers next season.

Would Kean be a good signing?

Last season emphasised just how much West Ham need a back-up to Michail Antonio, as the Jamaican forward was relied upon to start nearly every game despite his injury proneness.

Signing another striker should be a priority for the Hammers this summer, as squad depth will be vital next season if Moyes' side are to progress, rather than fall away as they did in the second half of the last campaign.

Kean is well-regarded among some of the top bosses in the game, and won the praise of Thomas Tuchel during his time at PSG, with the now-Chelsea boss describing him as "fearless" and "courageous".

At just 22, the Italy international has a lot of time to develop and could learn a lot from Antonio if he were to make the move to the London Stadium, with the view of eventually replacing West Ham's all-time top Premier League scorer in the future.

FB Ref suggests that Kean is similar to the likes of Jamie Vardy and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, both of whom have enjoyed success in the Premier League in the past, so this transfer would make a lot of sense for the Hammers.

Juventus have an obligation to buy the forward at £24m but if the reports are to be believed West Ham could sneak in and take him off Everton's hands, and at that price he could prove to be a bargain.

And in other news: Moyes may already have West Ham's dream Declan Rice heir in 22 y/o "exciting talent"...
