The capture of Jarrod Bowen from Championship club Hull City has to go down as one of West Ham's best recent transfers, with the forward scoring eight goals and assisting eight more in 28 Premier League appearances this season - helping the club towards the top four, and into the Europa League quarter-finals too.

His development in the English top-flight has opened the door for many other exciting young players in the Football League to earn interest from the top teams in the country, and another Hull winger could be about to follow in the footsteps of the 25-year-old, with West Ham being a possible destination.

What's the news?

According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers are interested in snapping up Keane Lewis-Potter, after having a sensational season in the Championship, with Tottenham also in the race for his signature.

However, the price tag isn't yet clear, after Brentford failed to complete a deal for the forward in January worth more than £12m, but with the England Under 21 international valued at just £900k by Transfermarkt, and having just over one year left on his contract, it's hard to see the asking price rising much more.

Sensational young talent

Hull manager Shota Arveladze has given Lewis-Potter plenty of praise in recent weeks, even comparing him to a Dutch legend, which will surely excite West Ham fans.

Arveladze said: "At the moment, the boy has special talent, he's a special gift. Whether it's the way he touches the ball, or the way he moves the ball, his speed.

"I think this boy can only get better and better. With the experience he's getting and the quality he's developing, he's getting better every game.

"He's looking to do more offensive things and I think he realises that people around him are giving him the right messages to just go up and up."

"He's like Overmars. Marc was more left-footed, he was extremely quick, good in the last third."

Those qualities combined with his phenomenal statistics in the final third demonstrate precisely why he's like Bowen too.

After scoring eight goals and assisting three more in his first full season in the Championship, the 21-year-old has also completed 1.4 dribbles per game and 1.4 key passes. That has seen him establish himself as one of the most exciting players in the second tier right now, bagging 26 goals in total for the Yorkshire side.

Not only would he be able to slot into the West Ham first team straight away, but he would also be able to get the fans on their feet every time he gets the ball on the left-wing, and could quickly establish himself as a fan favourite at the London Stadium alongside former Tiger Bowen.
