Insider ExWHUemployee has urged West Ham United to get rid of Michail Antonio amid interest in the striker after his poor recent display.

What’s the word?

David Moyes' men were far from their best over the past weekend as they lost 1-0 away from home in the Premier League against potential relegation rivals Wolves.

In the match, Antonio was trusted to play the full 90 minutes but it seems as though he didn't do enough to impress. The striker has been linked with a possible loan move to Chelsea of late, while Everton and Wolves have also been said to have some interest in the striker.

Amid it all, while talking on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex suggested that the forward has been out of form for a while now and revealed that his attitude has also been poor.

And so, the insider claimed he should be allowed to leave, explaining: “I think personally, we should maybe consider letting him go based upon what I saw on Saturday, and based upon what I've heard about his attitude recently, and what I think he's demonstrated recently, and he’s been off-form this season.

"However, it's a very, very bold move, selling him to either Everton or Wolves, who are obviously potential relegation contestants with us.”

Big call

Against Wolves, as per SofaScore, it's safe to say Antonio failed to impress as he finished the game managing zero shots on targets, touching the ball just 34 times, failing with both his only dribble and cross attempts, losing the ball 15 times and completing just 64 per cent of his attempted passes.

However, as Ex points out, Wolves and Everton are both right in the mix as potential relegation rivals for the Hammers and so it could be unwise to hand them a new player to aid their cause.

Still, with Moyes' team putting in a £25m bid for Lorient and Nigeria striker Terem Moffi, it suggests that the club could well be ready to move on from Antonio.

This certainly looks like one to keep an eye on.
