Dharmesh Sheth has dropped an update on reported West Ham United transfer targets Armando Broja and Gianluca Scamacca.

What's the latest?

In a recent post on Twitter, the Sky Sports journalist revealed that, despite Rob Newman currently being in advanced talks with Chelsea regarding a £30m plus add-ons deal for the 20-year-old Broja, the Hammers are still waiting to hear back from US Sassuolo concerning their €40m (£34m) plus add-ons offer for the 23-year-old Scamacca - with a move for both forwards not being ruled out by David Moyes' side.

In his tweet, Sheth said: "West Ham United in advanced talks with Chelsea over the signing of Armando Broja. West Ham want permanent deal. West Ham still waiting on response from Sassuolo after €40m plus add-ons bid for Gianluca Scamacca. Signing both not ruled out."

Moyes will be buzzing

Considering the fact that, ever since West Ham's sale of Sebastien Haller back in January of 2021, Michail Antonio has been the club's only recognised senior centre-forward, Sheth's claim that Newman could potentially add two new strikers to the 59-year-old's first-team squad ahead of the 2022/23 campaign is sure to have left the Scot buzzing.

Indeed, Broja highly impressed over his £19.8m-rated forward scoring nine goals and registering one assist for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side.

Meanwhile, Scamacca enjoyed an even more fruitful campaign over his 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo in 2021/22, with the £27m-rated hitman bagging 16 goals and creating three big chances for his teammates, as well as taking an average of 2.2 shots, making 0.7 key passes and completing 0.6 dribbles per game.

As such, should Newman indeed go on to add both the Albania and Italy international to West Ham's attacking arsenal ahead of the new Premier League season, it would undoubtedly come as a huge boost to Moyes' hopes of securing another extremely impressive league finish next time out - not to mention making the Hammers one of the favourites to lift the Europa Conference League trophy in 2022/23.
