West Ham United are interested in a deal to bring Justin Kluivert to the London Stadium this summer.

What's the talk?

That's according to a report by Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), who claim that, alongside a number of Ligue 1 clubs, the West Ham board are keeping a very close eye on the situation of the AS Roma forward ahead of a potential move in the coming weeks.

The report goes on to state that Jose Mourinho's side are willing to part with the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window, as long as they are to receive a bid of around €15m (£13m) for the Netherlands international.

His "talent is nearly limitless"

While it is true that, following his €17.25m (£15m) move to the Stadio Olimpico back in the summer of 2018, Kluivert's remarkable development has stagnated somewhat, it is undeniable that, should David Moyes believe he can be the man to realise the forward's undoubted potential, the 23-year-old would be an incredibly exciting signing for West Ham.

Indeed, the £13.5m-rated talent burst onto the scene with Ajax back in 2016/17, scoring two goals, registering four assists, creating seven big chances and averaging a SofaScore match rating of 7.13 over his 14 Eredivisie appearances in his debut campaign.

The 7.33 over 30 league fixtures that season.

However, since joining Roma, the player who Joe Krishnan dubbed "crazy" and Nick Mercadante suggested his "talent is nearly limitless" has scored just nine goals and registered 10 assists for I Giallorossi, although, the youngster did show signs of life during a loan spell with OGC Nice last time out - bagging four goals, providing five assists and creating seven big chances over his 27 Ligue 1 appearances.

As such, considering the sheer amount of potential Kluivert quite clearly still possesses, £13m would very much appear to be a figure well worth paying for the 23-year-old - as, if Moyes can help the winger refind his Ajax form in east London, the flying Dutchman would quickly make this outlay look an absolute steal.
