Having scored just once in their previous four Premier League outings, you would've forgiven Wolves fans for fearing the worst ahead of their home clash against Liverpool on Saturday.

Despite keeping three consecutive clean sheets, Bruno Lage's men were facing a ruthless Liverpool side who had scored 12 goals in their previous three league games. The contest certainly looked as if it was only going to go one way.

However, the home side battled hard and fought extremely well in what was an impressive performance, only to concede the decisive goal to Divock Origi in the 94th minute.

There was one man in particular who impressed at Molineux on Saturday afternoon: Rayan Aït Nouri.

The left wing-back was instrumental in keeping the Reds' stellar frontline quiet, particularly Mohamed Salah, who has scored 13 Premier League goals already this term. The youngster stepped up and took on the almighty task with both hands, winning 92% of his duels as well as making eight tackles.

Jurgen Klopp's £90m-rated Egyptian kingpin was kept remarkably quiet, all thanks to the 20-year-old Frenchman, who was "superb" according to Wolves journalist Liam Keen.

Moreover, according to SofaScore, the wing-back had 67 touches and produced three clearances in Wolves' quest to shut out Liverpool and keep a fourth consecutive Premier League clean sheet.

However, the youngster had to be withdrawn in the 89th minute through injury and the visitors duly took advantage. Jurgen Klopp's men snatched the points at the death as Salah, who had been somewhat pocketed by Aït Nouri, set up Origi for the winner, further highlighting how crucial the Frenchman was for Wolves.

The £16.2m-rated wing-back endured a tricky opening to the campaign, appearing for just six minutes in the opening eight Premier League matches.

Aït Nouri has started all seven league games since and is certainly catching the manager's eye by working hard to make himself undroppable.
