With Bruno Lage's Wolverhampton Wanderers side heading into Monday evening's Premier League clash in a fine run of form, having picked up ten points from their last four fixtures, the 45-year-old manager will undoubtedly be hoping for yet another positive result and display when Everton make the trip Molineux.

And, while Rafael Benitez's men having been in a rather contrasting run of form in recent weeks, picking up just four points over their own last four games, Lage will nevertheless be aware that the Toffees are a side who are capable of beating anyone on their day.

As such, the Wolves boss will know that he must get his team selection spot on if he is to have any chance of taking all three points from the fixture, and, there is one player in particular who has been showing in recent matches that he is worthy of a starting spot in the Portuguese manager's side on Monday evening - Daniel Podence.

Rarely-seen this season

Despite having only featured a total of six times in the Premier League this season, with only one of these appearances coming as a start, Podence has proven in recent weeks that he clearly has the ability to play a much more important role in Wolves' attacking lineup.

Indeed, in his only start of the campaign so far, against Southampton towards the end of September, the £22.5m-rated man completed all three of his attempted dribbles successfully, made one key pass and won four of his six duels, with these returns seeing the forward receive a SofaScore match rating of 7.1 - ranking him as the club's joint fourth-best player in the 1-0 win.

The man who Andy Thompson dubbed a "dangerous" talent also proved key in the 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa in October, registering one assist, making one key pass and earning a SofaScore match rating of 7.3 - despite only featuring for 16 minutes of the match.

As such, despite the £60k-per-week Podence having been rarely seen so far this term, Lage must finally unleash him once again on Monday evening, as the 26-year-old more than has the ability to terrify an Everton defence that has already shipped 14 goals this season.
