Wolverhampton Wanderers look set for an extremely busy January transfer window and it seems as if the Old Gold are keen on Bristol City's teenage star Alex Scott.
What's the word?
According to The Telegraph, the Midlands outfit are amongst a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing the Bristol City youngster, who has caught the eye since breaking into the Robins' first team in the Championship.
It is claimed that Scott is highly admired by the club’s management and recruitment staff although it could prove difficult to do a deal for the teenager, considering the interest being shown in him.
However, it is also suggested that he would only set Wolves back around £10m in January, which could represent a significant bargain for Julen Lopetegui if he could live up to his potential at Molineux.
Lopetegui's own Grealish
Having established himself as a regular at Ashton Gate across the last two seasons, Scott has earned the nickname of the 'Guernsey Grealish' by fans and teammates alike, due to his dribbling style and preference for lower socks.
In total, the teenager has made 69 appearances for Bristol City's senior side, in which he has contributed four goals and six assists.
This season has seen Scott notch four assists in 24 Championship appearances, which has helped him to a strong 6.84 average rating from WhoScored, with only Ruben Neves earning a better average rating from Wolves' squad, which emphasies the quality he could add at Molineux.
Bristol City’s player pathway manager Brian Tinnion was full of praise for Scott when he broke into the Robins' first team as a 17-year-old. He said:
"His work rate and his desire to learn has been unbelievable.
