Wolves didn't give their fans much to shout about during the previous Premier League campaign in terms of regular goals.

The Old Gold found the net just 38 times in as many matches, leaving only the three relegated clubs scoring on fewer occasions.

In terms of potential incoming summer transfers, one man with whom the Midlands club have been linked and who could help Bruno Lage's side to become a deadly goalscoring outfit is Borna Sosa.

After making 41 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb, in which he provided six assists, the left-back found himself moving to Stuttgart in 2018. Since then, the 24-year-old has gone on to score three goals and provide 23 assists in 83 appearances for the German club.

To further highlight his attacking talent, the full-back ended his latest Bundesliga campaign with more assists (eight), shot-creating actions (103), goalscoring actions (13) and crosses (136) than any other player at Stuttgart.

Hailed as a player with "enormous potential" according to his manager Pellegrino Matarazzo, it's safe to say that the Croatian has shown that potential throughout last season, particularly with his attacking prowess.

With a reported price tag of €25m (£21m), it's easy to see where and how Sosa would be a big asset for Wolves should they be able to secure his signature this summer.

In fact, a move for the Stuttgart gem could see the Old Gold secure what could be the left-footed version of former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham.

Stuttgart's sporting director Sven Mislintat said of the defender earlier this year: "Borna's said himself that David Beckham is his role model, and I think he has the same qualities."

Mislintat also described Sosa as a "weapon", which shows just how highly-rated he is by his current club.

With Beckham winning six league titles with United and getting himself in the Premier League Hall of Fame, the prospect of Wolves having their own version of the Englishman with Sosa would be a mouth-watering one.

In terms of a potential move to Molineux, the fact that Fernando Marcal has left the club this summer could make a move for the Croatia international a smart one from the Old Gold.

Taking all this into account, if an opportunity to secure a deal for the full-back arises before the summer transfer window closes, Wolves should do all that they can to make it happen and hope that he has what it takes to make Lage's team a bit more of an attacking threat going forward.
