Since emerging out of the Championship at the end of the 2017/18 season, Wolves and their owners have not been shy when it comes to spending money on new players to help strengthen their side and push the club forward.

One player that has joined the Midlands club in the past few years that has become an important figure for the team and a successful piece of business as a whole is winger Pedro Neto.

The Portuguese attacker, who has been described as a "sensational" player in the past by Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, joined the Old Gold back in the 2019 summer transfer window from Italian side Lazio in a deal worth a reported fee of £18m.

With a total of 80 appearances under his belt in a Wolves shirt across all competitions, the 21-year-old, who is currently earning a weekly wage of £39k-per-week according to Salary Sport, has racked up ten goals and 11 assists along the way.

Last season saw Neto really come into his own by scoring five goals, providing six assists and earning himself an overall performance rating of 7.11/10, making him the joint-highest rated player for the campaign alongside Adama Traore according to WhoScored.

Not long after making the move to Molineux, Transfermarkt had the attacker's market value listed as £6.3m, whereas it now stands at £31.5m, showing a massive increase based on what he's done for the club out on the pitch.

This also shows just what a great investment it was from Wolves to spend a hefty amount of money on such a young player.

Having only just made his return to action as a second-half substitute during Wolves' recent 2-1 win over Leicester City after being out on the sidelines for a total of 295 days with a knee injury, this will surely be a big boost for the team and their hopes of ending the campaign with a place in Europe for next season, especially if he can get add some goals and assists to his tally before then.

Either way, despite his unfortunate injury, it's still safe to say that Neto has been a hugely successful signing from the Midlands club.
