Wolves are reportedly interested in signing Shakhtar Donetsk winger Tete in this month's transfer window and the Brazilian could be Julen Lopetegui's own version of Bukayo Saka at Molineux.

According to recent reports from talkSPORT, Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Everton are all keen on signing the 24-year-old, who has been on loan with Olympique Lyon in France since Russia's invasion of Ukraine brought an end to football in the Eastern European country.

The report claims that the 22-year-old winger is keen on a move to the Premier League this month with recent reports having suggested that he could cost around £21m.

Tete has certainly impressed during his time at Lyon, contributing six goals and two assists in just 16 Ligue 1 appearances so far this campaign, averaging an impressive 6.97 rating from WhoScored for his performances, which led football talent scout Jacek Kulig to claim that he is "on fire."

Considering this would make him both the top goalscorer and top performer in Wolves' squad according to WhoScored, it is easy to see why Lopetegui is reportedly keen on bringing the young "hurricane" - as described by his former club - to England this month.

If he did arrive at Molineux, he could potentially emulate Saka, who is currently at the forefront of Arsenal's title challenge, with the England international having notched a superb six goals and six assists in the Premier League so far this term.

According to FBref, the 21-year-old Arsenal academy graduate is the fifth-most similar player to Tete when compared to other wingers across Europe's top leagues.

This season has seen the two players record extremely similar statistics with regard to goals per shot on target (0.46 vs 0.45), progressive passes (both 33) and tackles (20 vs 21), suggesting they are both influential in the offensive and defensive phases of play.

WhoScored also suggests that both Tete and Saka excel at finishing and playing key passes, while they both like to cut inside and play short passes, so they are clearly similar types of flankers.

Considering how impressive Saka has been in recent seasons for Arsenal, Lopetegui would surely be foolish to turn down a player so similar, as he looks to pull the Old Gold away from any relegation battle this season.
