Wolves completed their first signing of the summer transfer window yesterday as Nathan Collins joined Bruno Lage's side, and it appears as if the wheels at Molineux are now fully in motion, with reports suggesting that a fee has been agreed for Chilean wonderkid Dario Osorio.

According to Chilean news outlet TNT Sports, the 18-year-old has attracted a lot of interest from European sides but it is Wolves who have drawn first blood in any potential deal for the teenager, as they have reached an agreement of €5m (£4.2m) for the youngster.

Like several top European sides, Wolves look to be casting their eye towards South America for the next top young talents, and it seems as if everything is in place for one of Chile's top prospects to make the move to Molineux.

Osorio has only made 14 appearances for Club Universidad de Chile in his fledgeling career, but has played across the front three and contributed four goals in that time.

It is impressive that someone so young has had such a big impact in the top division and it is no surprise that Wolves are banking on his potential.

Should he arrive at Molineux this summer, it is unclear whether or not he will challenge for a starting spot in Lage's side, but he could be the ideal replacement for Chiquinho.

The Portuguese winger made a bright start to his Wolves career after joining in January, and supporters were perhaps hoping to see a lot more from him in the upcoming campaign.

Unfortunately, he suffered an ACL injury in the recent pre-season win against Burnley, a game in which he also scored, so he looks set to be on the sidelines for between six and nine months.

Therefore, a replacement is arguably required on the wing and Osorio could be the ideal man, given his obvious potential.

Universidad’s sporting director Manuel Mayo was full of praise for the youngster last season, saying:

“He is a tall, very fast player. Osorio shoots spectacularly and plays as if he were at home."

Given Wolves' struggles in front of goal, a promising clinical finisher is exactly what Lage needs and the Portuguese manager will surely love a player such as Osorio in his side, so will be hoping that he arrives as Wolves' second summer signing in the not too distant future.
