Wolves have been linked with Isco recently and the Spaniard could form a magical partnership with Ruben Neves should he arrive at Molineux next month.

Having signed the former Real Madrid man for Sevilla in the summer, Julen Lopetegui now reportedly wants to bring Isco to the Premier League, with Spanish news outlet AS reporting that he has personally asked for the Old Gold to sign the midfielder as he looks to bolster his options ahead of the upcoming relegation battle.

It is also claimed that the 30-year-old is keen to reunite with Lopetegui next month, so it certainly seems as if the transfer could be on the cards when the transfer window opens.

It is no surprise that Wolves' new Spanish manager is keen to recruit a creative outlet in January, considering Wolves have mustered just eight goals in the Premier League this season, while no player in the Old Gold's squad has managed more than one assist this season.

Should the Sevilla man arrive next month, he could prove to be a natural heir to Joao Moutinho at Molineux and could complement Neves beautifully in midfield.

While the Portuguese maestro is Wolves' top performer and top scorer with four goals so far this campaign, creativity is not the former Porto man's strong point, as he boasts just 12 assists in nearly 300 appearances for the Old Gold.

Isco meanwhile, would contribute 53 goals and 56 assists in his spell at the Santiago Bernabeu, which emphasises the threat he could add in the final third at Molineux.

Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for the Spaniard ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's game against Los Blancos in 2017.

He said: "I have been lucky to have seen him playing for different clubs and he has always been a player with a capacity and creativity above average.

"He has reached his full potential at Real, and we will take that into account.

"We know all about his magic."

Moutinho has arguably lost his magic this season, with WhoScored awarding him a 6.57 average rating, compared to 6.69 and 6.67 ratings in previous campaigns.

Like the former Monaco man, Isco would arrive with a big reputation in the twilight of his career, but he definitely still has something to offer in Lopetegui's side.

There is no doubt that Wolves need a capable creative midfielder in their ranks if they are going to rectify their attacking woes and get off the bottom of the table, so the Old Gold should definitely look to bring Isco in.
