Wolverhampton Wanderers could still make a signing before Monday's transfer window deadline as Bruno Lage's men look to push for a top-six finish.

What's the story?

According to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor, Wolves are likely to make another addition before the window slams shut, particularly after the loan departure of winger Adama Traore.

Speaking to Give Me Sport on Saturday morning before the Spain winger's loan was announced, Taylor said: "If Traore completes his move, he'll probably push for another signing within the final days of the window."

The Spaniard's loan exit has left a void in Lage's attacking options, although Wolves have already signed youngsters Chiquinho, Sang-bin Jung and Hayao Kawabe this month, as well as making Hwang Hee-chan's loan move from RB Leipzig permanent.

Wolves fans will be ecstatic

Bruno Lage has had an excellent first season in charge of Wolves so far, with the West Midlands outfit sitting comfortably in eighth place in the Premier League with aspirations of securing European football.

With 17 league games to go, the Old Gold are just two points off the top six and could go on to achieve something truly special by May. Reinforcements in the squad should certainly help their cause.

Wolves are very sturdy at the back, boasting the second-best defence in the top flight behind Manchester City, having conceded just 16 goals in 21 games. However, they could certainly do with additions in the attacking department, scoring on average just 0.9 goals per game with 19 in 21 matches.

Moreover, they're also light in midfield, with Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho the club's two most-used players in that position. However, the former has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United, whilst the latter is 35 and will most likely need replacing in the coming seasons. Lage could therefore do with more depth in the middle of the park.

It is still unclear as to where and who Wolves will target as we enter the final days of the transfer window. However, supporters will certainly be excited at the prospect of at least one more new face coming through the door before Monday's deadline, following on from Taylor's update and Traore's loan exit.
